Condition One is a veteran owned, faith-based roofing contractor based in Bethlehem and working across eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Austin Sukanick founded it in 2021 after serving as a Marine in Iraq. The name is the military term for the highest state of readiness, and it is the bar every job gets held to.
Where the name comes from
In the Marine Corps, Condition One is the highest state of readiness. Everything checked, everything ready, nothing assumed. Austin served in Iraq, and other veterans work here too.
That shows up in ordinary ways rather than dramatic ones. Reps carry cards with their names on them. License numbers are published on this site instead of buried. Quotes say what they mean, and the roof that shows up is the roof that was sold.
It is deliberately not a costume. No camouflage, no tactical branding, no theatre. The military part is about standards, not appearance.
What we believe
Condition One is a faith-based company. Honesty, integrity, respect, kindness and community are the values the business was built on, and they are meant to be visible in how the work gets done rather than stated on a page.
In practice that means telling somebody their roof has years left when it does, giving a straight answer about whether a claim is worth filing, and leaving a property the way it was found. If it is not the right time for the work, that is the end of the conversation and there is no six month follow-up campaign.

The second phrase that gets used around here is a military one for having somebody's back. Watching the direction they cannot see.
On a roof that means the parts of the job a homeowner has no way to check. What went under the shingles. Whether the decking that was soft got replaced or covered over. Whether the flashing was reused because it was faster.
Nobody inspects that work after the fact. That is exactly why it matters who is doing it, and it is why every rep on this site can be looked up by name before you let them on your property.

That is normal in roofing and it is stated plainly here because some companies imply otherwise. The person who quotes your job and stays reachable through it works for the company.
It means the standards are borrowed from somewhere that took them seriously.
It is not a discount and it is not a sales angle. Whether it matters to you is your call.
Only that the values the company runs on are stated out loud.
Nobody is going to talk to you about faith on a roof. It shows up as being told the truth about your roof and being left alone if you say no.
