A certificate forwarded by a contractor is worth less than one sent by their insurer. Ask for it to come direct. Anyone legitimate will not mind.
The GAF part
Master Elite is the entry point, and it sits at roughly the top 2 percent of roofers in the country. It requires being licensed, insured and in good standing, and it has to be maintained rather than earned once.
President's Club is the annual award on top of that, and fewer than half of Master Elite contractors qualify. It's judged on installation quality, customer satisfaction and reliability across a full calendar year.
The practical benefit to you is the Golden Pledge warranty, which only Master Elite contractors can write: 50 years non-prorated on material defects, 25 to 30 years on workmanship, tear-off and disposal included. Terms are set by GAF and vary by system.
